Was it worth it?

So I'll take this from the other blogs I've been reading because I think it's a great topic. So, was it worth it?

I've been thinking the last few days what I would talk about if I choose this topic and there are so many things in my life that I regret. Leaving ACU, not choosing nursing school sooner, a few relationships, etc. However, each and every one of my regrets ,I still have to say, was "worth it". I have learn so much from every one of these experiences and as terrible as they may have been, I am a better, more mature woman because of them.

If I had started out in nursing school, I would be a nurse by now. However, I wouldn't have the life experiences from the last few years of working in the ER. I would have be a very naive nurse and may have made a life threatening decision.

I really feel that over the last year and half, especially, I have really "grown up". As silly as that sounds, it's true. I think back just two years ago at the things I said or did and how immature they were.

So was it worth it, even as painful and difficult as it was? Yes.

You have noticibly grown so much since I've known you. I credit successes and failures for that growth.

Welcome Val! :) You're off to a great start. It's kinda cool, isn't it, to be able to look back and see how God used different situations in our lives to mold us and refine us. It probably wasn't cool at the time, but we all have 'growing pains'...they're just a part of living.

Welcome Val! I'm so glad you've started to keep a blog - it'll be good to keep up with you. You're so right. I'ts amazing to look back over the past few years and see how God has changed and molded us. College is such a growing period...and you're right, you'll probably be a better nurse for having more life experience under your belt. love you!
